Hagit is an Accredited Play Therapist, a Theraplay therapist and supervisor, with extensive experience in therapeutic work with children and families. Over the past decade, Hagit has facilitated both individual, dyad and group therapy with children and families who demonstrate emotional, behavioural, or social difficulties.
Hagit believes in the power of PLAY as a therapeutic method to empower children to fulfil their potential and better express themselves. Hagit sees caregivers and teachers as natural partners in the process; she strives to collaborate harmoniously with caregivers to gain a holistic view of the child and maximise the benefits of the therapeutic process.
Hagit has international experience working in children’s centres, schools and private practice in various locations like Brisbane, Australia, Singapore and Israel.
Hagit graduated with a Master of Arts in Cognitive Psychology from Tel-Aviv University (2007), and a Bachelor of Arts in Behavioural Sciences from Ariel University (2003). Hagit expanded her knowledge and skill set in creative therapies by completing training programs such as the Post-Graduate Diploma in Play Therapy, Theraplay Levels 1 and 2, EMDR Adults 1+2, EMDR Children 1+2, Circle of Security™ Parenting program, Filial Play Parent’s Coaching, and Clinical Supervision training.
Hagit also serve on the Theraplay Advisory Board in Israel, assisting in training and managing the practicum.
Prior to commencing her journey as a creative psychotherapist, Hagit utilized her counseling and mentoring skills as a professional human resource specialist. In parallel to her full-time career as HR in an international organization, she volunteered as a life coach in a social welfare organization (JDC) and as a social facilitator in a mental health hospital.
Hagit is fluent in English and Hebrew.
